Who are Seema and Sweety? Rahul Gandhi’s sensational claim: Brazilian model allegedly voted 22 times in Haryana

New Delhi: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched a fresh attack on the BJP over alleged electoral irregularities in Haryana. He claimed that a “Brazilian model” was reportedly listed in the state’s voter rolls under names like “Seema,” “Sweety,” and others. Gandhi described this as part of his new “H-Bomb” (Haryana Bomb) revelation.
Addressing a press conference, Rahul Gandhi said, “Congress lost the election by 22,000 votes. Who is this woman? She voted 22 times across 10 different booths in Haryana. She has multiple names. This indicates a centralized operation. This woman is a Brazilian model. It is a stock photo, and she is one among 2.5 million such records in Haryana.”
He alleged that 2.5 million fake votes, roughly 12 percent of the state’s electorate, were cast to turn Congress’s victory into defeat. However, the Election Commission dismissed Gandhi’s claims, stating that no appeals have been filed against the state’s voter list. According to the Commission, out of 90 assembly seats in Punjab and Haryana, only 22 election petitions are currently pending in the High Court, indicating limited legal challenges to the results.
During the press conference in Delhi, Gandhi said, “Haryana has 20 million voters, and 2.5 million of them are fake. Our team identified 521,000 questionable entries. One in every eight voters is fake.” He also presented slides showing alleged discrepancies in the voter list, including the image of a Brazilian model appearing 22 times under different names.
Rahul Gandhi accused the BJP of running a “well-planned campaign” to undermine the democratic process. He stated, “All exit polls were indicating a Congress victory in Haryana. For the first time, postal ballots did not match the actual votes. A plan was in place to turn a massive Congress win into a loss.”
He further accused BJP leaders in Palwal and Mathura, claiming that one house had 500 registered voters and that BJP leaders and workers were voting from multiple locations. Gandhi also highlighted alleged irregularities in the voter list involving homeless individuals listed under “House Number Zero.”
Finally, Rahul Gandhi questioned the Election Commission, alleging collusion with the BJP. He said, “Why is the Election Commission not removing fake voters? This proves what the BJP is doing – and the Election Commission is helping them.”
This statement is likely to intensify political controversy over the alleged irregularities in the Haryana Assembly elections.
