Probe into Ram Temple Donation Case Reaches Final Stage; District Magistrate Takes Charge of Administrative Oversight

Ayodhya: The investigation into alleged irregularities in the management of donations at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple has entered its final and decisive phase. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the matter has completed its preliminary inquiry and prepared its report under the leadership of SIT chief Vijay Vishwas Pant.

According to sources, given the sensitivity of the issue and its connection to the faith of millions of devotees, the investigation report will first be submitted to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Sources claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is personally monitoring developments related to the case. Any legal action is expected to commence only after the PMO reviews the report and grants the necessary approval and directions.

Meanwhile, significant administrative changes have been observed in the temple’s management structure. Ayodhya District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi has begun overseeing key aspects of temple administration. He also serves as an ex-officio member of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Sources indicate that the district administration is currently playing a larger role in administrative decision-making and is closely monitoring temple operations.

A new system has also been introduced for the counting and management of donations. To enhance transparency and prevent any possibility of irregularities, three major changes have reportedly been implemented in the donation-counting process. Officials believe the revised mechanism will improve accountability and strengthen oversight of donation collection and record-keeping.

The investigation is now nearing completion, and the findings of the final report are expected to determine responsibility for the alleged irregularities and guide any subsequent legal or administrative action.
