Tejashwi Yadav Attacks Women’s Employment Scheme, Raises Questions About Sister Rohini Acharya
Patna (Bihar) : Bihar’s Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav sharply criticized the state government’s Women’s Employment Scheme today. He questioned whether the Prime Minister and the central government could confirm if any central funds were included in the scheme.
Tejashwi alleged, “Women may receive money for one or two months, but afterwards the state government will recover up to ₹10,000 from them.” He also responded to the Prime Minister’s statement claiming that women did not step out of their homes during the RJD’s rule. Tejashwi said, “We ask journalists to check the data for one month—how many women were raped, how many murders occurred? When we were in power for 17 months, did women not step out on the streets? They have nothing to say, which is why they are making such allegations.”
Response on Rohini Acharya
Addressing the controversy surrounding his sister Rohini Acharya, Tejashwi said, “Rohini ji is our sister and has contributed greatly to our progress. She even donated a kidney, but she never sought a party ticket or a position. Those speaking against her on social media are completely undeserving.”
Goal of a Corruption-Free Government
Tejashwi emphasized that his primary goal is to provide Bihar with a corruption-free government. Targeting the Nitish Kumar government, he added, “Before 2005, if a journalist was beaten by a minister and tried to file a complaint, the police wouldn’t register the case. The opposition had to intervene to get the case registered. Is this good governance or jungle raj?”
Comment on Amit Shah
Tejashwi also commented on the Bihar visit of central leader Amit Shah, saying, “He has no concern for the country. Now that elections are here, the country holds no significance for him.”
Following these statements, it is clear that Tejashwi Yadav is actively opposing the Women’s Employment Scheme, corruption, and electoral strategies, while intensifying his political response ahead of the upcoming elections.
