Anandmay Bharti Foundation Gives Fresh Momentum to ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign

New Delhi: A tree plantation drive was organized by the Anandmay Bharti Foundation at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Park in Vinod Nagar, East Delhi. The event was held in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. Office-bearers and volunteers of the foundation actively participated in the campaign.

Basant Jha ‘Vats’, President of the foundation and Vice President of BJP’s Vinod Nagar Mandal, stated, “Our goal is to plant 100 trees. We have already planted 50, and another 50 will be planted in the coming days. We’ve chosen beneficial species such as bael, neem, jamun, peepal, and guava, which are highly valuable for the environment.”

He emphasized, “If the environment is safe, we are safe. In today’s world, every individual must take part in protecting nature. Our aim is to spread Prime Minister Modi’s campaign to every household. We also planted 25 trees on World Environment Day, and this campaign will continue throughout the month.”

The Anandmay Bharti Foundation is known for its continued involvement in social, cultural, and religious activities. Apart from planting trees, the foundation also undertakes the respectful disposal of broken idols and used religious materials, which are often improperly discarded in parks or under trees. The foundation collects and respectfully immerses them in pits at designated locations.

Over the years, the foundation has also organized events such as Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, and Ram-Janaki Mahotsav, among other religious and cultural programs.

Today’s event saw the participation of several foundation members including President Basant Jha ‘Vats’, Vinay Jha, Suryanand Jha, Sonu Jha, Ugra Narayan Chaudhary, Sudhir Kumar, Rajesh Talwar, and many others. All came together in a shared mission to contribute to the noble cause of environmental protection.
