BJP’s Manifesto Admits: They Will End Free Education and Healthcare, Says Kejriwal

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal launched a sharp attack on the BJP’s manifesto. He said that in their two manifestos, the BJP has openly admitted and declared that they will shut down the Mohalla Clinics in Delhi and end free education in government schools. Kejriwal stated, “I had already said that BJP is contesting the Delhi elections solely to end all the schemes benefiting the people of Delhi. They have now admitted that they will end free education and free healthcare (medicines, tests, and surgeries). But mark my words, they will also end other schemes like free electricity, water, and free bus travel for women.”

It is noteworthy that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its Manifesto Part-2 for the Delhi Assembly elections, promising free education for needy students from kindergarten to post-graduation. The manifesto also announced financial assistance of ₹15,000 to youth preparing for competitive exams. BJP’s senior leader and former Union Minister Anurag Thakur released this manifesto.

Kejriwal held a press conference at the party office on Tuesday and said, “Today, 18 lakh children are studying in Delhi’s government schools, and all of them receive free education. Now, they have announced that free education in Delhi will be stopped. Earlier, they had announced that free healthcare will be discontinued. I want to warn the people of Delhi that this is a very dangerous party. So, do not vote for them, even by mistake. Otherwise, your household budget will be disturbed so much that you won’t be able to live in Delhi.”

Kejriwal added, “Today, if you send a child to a private school in Delhi, it costs around ₹5,000 per month. If you have two children, your monthly education expenses will increase by ₹10,000. Currently, Delhi’s children are studying in government schools, and they are receiving excellent education. But if the people of Delhi vote for the wrong party, you will have to spend an additional ₹10,000 on your children’s education.”

He further said, “People in Delhi visit Mohalla Clinics for free healthcare. If you go to a private doctor, their fee is ₹600-700. Even for a simple illness, a visit to the doctor costs ₹2,000. If Mohalla Clinics and government hospitals stop providing free healthcare, your expenses will increase by at least ₹5,000-7,000. These people themselves are admitting that they will end free education and healthcare, and your monthly expenses will rise by ₹15,000. I am extremely happy that the BJP has honestly confessed their dangerous intentions before the people of Delhi. Now, there is nothing more to say.”
