IIFA Awards 2025: ‘Laapataa Ladies’ Dominates, Kartik & Nitanshi Win Best Actor Awards
Jaipur (Rajasthan): The grand International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards 2025 took place on Sunday at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Center (JECC). This year, the event was dominated by the film Laapataa Ladies, which bagged a total of ten awards. The film won the prestigious Best Film Award, received by Kiran Rao and Aamir Khan. Kartik Aaryan won the Best Actor Award for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, while Nitanshi Goel took home the Best Actress Award.
The event was a dazzling spectacle with Bollywood stars delivering electrifying performances. Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit mesmerized the audience with their dance on Ghode Jaisi Chaal… Haathi Jaisi Dum. Katrina Kaif, Rekha, and Kriti Sanon also elevated the grandeur with their performances. Rekha, alongside director Rakesh Roshan, performed on Hansate-Hansate Kat Jaaye Raaste from Khoon Bhari Maang, receiving thunderous applause. Shahid Kapoor made a grand entry on stage riding a scooter and performed to hit songs from his films.
Kiran Rao won the Best Director Award for Laapataa Ladies, while Ram Sampath received the Best Music Director honor for the same film. Jubin Nautiyal won Best Playback Singer (Male) for Duaa from Article 370, and Shreya Ghoshal won Best Playback Singer (Female) for Ami Je Tomar 3.0 from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Rekha honored Rakesh Roshan with the Outstanding Achievement in Indian Cinema Award.
Madhuri Dixit set the stage on fire with her dance on Khalnayak, while Kareena Kapoor Khan gave a stunning retro-style performance on Jeena Yahan, Marna Yahan and Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Shahid Kapoor delivered a power-packed dance on Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya and Saree Ke Fall Sa. The vibrant celebration took Bollywood’s glamour to new heights and left the audience with unforgettable moments.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma expressed pride in Jaipur joining the elite list of cities like New York, London, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi that have hosted the IIFA Awards. He stated that this event would enhance the state’s cultural and historical identity on a global scale. Rajasthan, a major hub on India’s tourism map, boasts both history and heritage, making it a favorite destination for Indian and global cinema shoots. He invited filmmakers and industry professionals to explore Rajasthan’s diverse landscapes for movie productions. A letter from Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also read during the awards ceremony.
