PM Modi Congratulates Team India on Winning the Champions Trophy, Says ‘Extraordinary Game, Extraordinary Result’
New Delhi: India clinched the Champions Trophy for the third time by defeating New Zealand by four wickets. Following this historic victory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other political leaders extended their congratulations and best wishes to Team India.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to X and posted, “An extraordinary game and an extraordinary result. Proud of our cricket team for bringing home the ICC Champions Trophy. They have delivered an outstanding performance throughout the tournament. Congratulations to our team for this stellar achievement!”

Home Minister Amit Shah also congratulated the Indian team, posting on X, “A victory that has created history! Congratulations to Team India for a remarkable triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Your passionate energy and unbeatable dominance on the field have made the nation proud and set a new benchmark for cricketing excellence. May you continue to shine!”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “An incredible victory and an outstanding performance by the Indian cricket team! Congratulations to the entire team for showcasing remarkable cricketing skills. Today’s win will inspire many young and aspiring cricketers.”
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called India’s win a “historic triumph.” He posted, “A historic victory… Salute to the champions! By winning the Champions Trophy, the Indian cricket team has made the festive season even more joyous and colorful. The entire nation is proud of every player of the team.”
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar shared his excitement on X, writing, “A fantastic start, a brilliant finish, and a phenomenal innings! Finally, the Indian team celebrates their victory in the Champions Trophy!”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge congratulated Team India, stating, “An extraordinary team effort has led the Indian cricket team to a glorious victory as they lift the Champions Trophy!
