Roundglass Hockey Academy Storms into the Semifinals of K.D. Singh Babu Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament

Mohali (Punjab) : Defending champions Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) stormed into the semifinals of the 35th All India K.D. Singh Babu Sub-Junior Prize Money Hockey Tournament 2025 in fine fashion, getting the better of Manmohan Singh Hockey Academy, Haryana 7-1 in the first quarterfinals played at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Lucknow. Gurmanavdeep Singh was the star performer, scoring a hat-trick for the team while Ranveer Singh, Harkirat Singh, Nishant Tanwar and Manveer Singh scored the other goals.
RGHA took the lead in the 13th minute of the match through a penalty corner conversion by Gurmanavdeep Singh. M.M. Singh HA equalised in the 18th minute after Harsh converted a penalty corner. RGHA took the lead in the second quarter itself through Gurmanavdeep, who extended the lead to 3-1 in the 34th minute, completing his hat-trick. Ranveer Singh made it 4-1 in the next minute and four minutes later Harkirat Singh scored the fifth goal for the winners. RGHA rounded off the victory by scoring two more goals in the final quarter through field goals from Nishant Tanwar and Manveer Singh.
The youngsters from RGHA were completely dominant in the group stages, winning all three matches in dominant fashion scoring 21 goals and conceding just twice. They beat Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy 8-2, M.M Sports Club, Haryana 5-0 and finished the group stages with a resounding 8-0 victory over Flicker Bro Hockey Academy, Shahabad to cruise to the knockout stages.
