Shyam Lal and Shri Ram College Register Big Wins in the 11th Padmashri Shyam Lal Hockey Tournament

New Delhi: Shyam Lal College, Kirori Mal College, Shri Ram College of Commerce, and Delhi University Alumna strengthened their position in the league rounds with victories in the 11th Padmashri Shyam Lal Memorial Invitational Hockey (Men’s & Women’s) Tournament. In the men’s category, host Shyam Lal College defeated Hansraj College 7-1. Ashish Sahravat from Shyam Lal College scored two goals, while Pratyush Singh Jaggi, Mohit Rana, Lalit, Priyanshu, and Ashish Gupta each scored one goal. The Man of the Match award went to Ashish Sahravat of Shyam Lal College.

In the women’s match, Delhi University Alumna defeated Vivekanand College 2-0. Both goals for Delhi University Alumna were scored by Sunita. The Player of the Match award went to Manita, a player from Delhi University Alumna. In the men’s category, Kirori Mal College defeated Amity University 6-3. Vishal from Kirori Mal College scored two goals, while Ashish, Dhruv, Mohammad Alam, and Shreshth scored one goal each. For Amity University, Rupesh Balhara scored two goals and Thomas scored one goal. The Man of the Match award went to Dhruv Dahiya of Kirori Mal College, and the Consolation Prize went to Rupesh Balhara of Amity University.

Shri Ram College of Commerce defeated Shyam Lal College Evening 10-1. Indrapal from Shri Ram College of Commerce scored five goals, while Divyansh and Vipin Nandal scored two goals each, and Vibhanshu Tiwari scored one goal. Rohit scored one goal for Shyam Lal College Evening. The Man of the Match award went to Indrapal Singh of Shri Ram College of Commerce.
