Silver Synergy Summit : Redefining Dignity, Inclusion and Opportunity for India’s Seniors

New Delhi : Rakesh, a 73-year-old from Delhi, was abandoned by his children in the middle of the road. He is not alone. There are several people in their ripped age where their children abandoned them. On the other hand, Sunita, now 65, inspires thousands as “Weightlifting Mummy” on Instagram. They are among many Indian seniors rewriting the narrative of aging through resilience and reinvention. With the United Nations Population Fund projecting that nearly 20% of India’s population will be over 60 by 2050, the urgency to address the challenges—and unlock the potential—of our elderly has never been more critical.

The Silver Synergy Summit, held on March 27, 2025 in Delhi, marked a first-of-its-kind initiative uniting thought leaders, policymakers, healthcare professionals, industry pioneers, and grassroots organizations to spark dialogue, reform, and collaboration. Anchored by the Dadidada Foundation, and powered by key partners including NMDC, NTPC, Pradhan Mantri Bhartiye Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana, ACCMAN Business School, Punjab National Bank, and more, the summit aimed to position aging as a phase of dignity, purpose, and innovation.

Shri Kalraj Mishra, Former Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of India, Former Governor, Govt. of Rajasthan & Himanchal Pradesh emphasized the wisdom held by India’s seniors and urged society to not only preserve but leverage these values to accelerate progress. The summit’s vision was also shaped by the thoughtful leadership of Shri Muni Shankar Ji, Founder, Dadi Dada Foundation whose dedication to intergenerational inclusion laid the foundation for this convening.

Key panels included:
Panel 1: Silver Economy for the Global South – Featuring experts from Bayer, SBI Life, FIDC, and Gramya, who discussed policy and market innovations.
Panel 2: Reframing Geriatric Care – With doctors and founders reimagining healthcare systems for elders.
Panel 3: CSR and Policy Shifts – Featuring voices from Hindustan Power, HelpAge India, and key government stakeholders.

Notable attendees included Prof. (Dr.) K.G. Suresh, Ravi Dadhich, Raman Agrawal, and Jayram Viplav, Rakesh Shukla and Sh Ram Bahadur Rai who added depth to the discussions.

“The collective vision is to not just care for our elderly, but to empower them—with tools, platforms, and respect. From redefining geriatric care to shaping inclusive policies, this summit is just the beginning of a national shift,” said a Dadidada Foundation representative.
