Tata Power-DDL to Participate in National Lok Adalat to be held on Saturday, 8 March, 2025 for quick settlement of electricity theft cases and disconnected connections

 

New Delhi : Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), a leading power utility supplying electricity to a populace of around 9 million in North Delhi, is participating in the ‘National Lok Adalat’ in association with Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) on Saturday, 8 March, 2025 for prompt settlement of electricity theft cases and disconnected connections. The National Lok Adalat will be held from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at PLA-I, Sub Station Building 2/13, Sector – 13, Rohini, Delhi – 110085, near Venkateshwar Global School.

Those who want to take part in the proceedings of National Lok Adalat, need to register at helpline no. 19124 or email to eac.care@tatapower-ddl.com for theft bills and to customercare@tatapower-ddl.com for dues pertaining to disconnected connections. Registered litigants should carry their Photo ID, along with a copy of their theft bill or bill against disconnected connection. Additionally, consumers seeking to settle disputed bills may directly approach PLA-1 on a walk-in basis with a copy of the bill and their Aadhaar card.

The National Lok Adalat provides a good opportunity for consumers seeking amicable on-the-spot settlement of power theft cases and dues pertaining to disconnected connections. In case of a default, the company is obliged to initiate appropriate criminal/ civil proceedings against the consumers under the relevant provisions of Electricity Act, 2003 and DERC Regulations. Consumers can pay their bills through various means, such as Cheque, Demand Draft (DD), Debit Card, Credit Card and various online modes, or Cash.
