Trump’s Election Strategy: “Kamala Neglected Hindus, I Will Ensure Security,” Says Trump
Washington : Just five days before the U.S. presidential election, former President and Republican candidate Donald Trump made a significant appeal to Hindu voters. He condemned the recent violence against Hindus, Christians, and other minorities in Bangladesh, calling it “barbaric.” He stated, “I strongly denounce the brutal violence against minorities in Bangladesh. It is total chaos as mobs attack and loot.”
Trump took to social media platform ‘X,’ asserting that such incidents would never have occurred under his leadership. He accused Kamala Harris and Joe Biden of neglecting Hindu communities, not only in the U.S. but globally. Trump further criticized their leadership, claiming, “From Israel to Ukraine to our own southern border, they have left a trail of devastation. But we will make America strong again and restore peace through strength.”
This marks Trump’s first public comment on the Bangladesh issue. Following widespread protests by students and extremists on August 5, former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country. Subsequent unrest led to violence against Hindu and other minority communities, resulting in significant casualties.
Wishing Hindus for Diwali, Trump stated that under his leadership, Hindu Americans would be safeguarded against the “anti-religious agenda” of radical leftists. He added, “We will fight for their freedom and further strengthen our great partnership with India and my friend, Prime Minister Modi.”
Notably, the U.S. presidential election is set to take place on November 5, with a close contest between Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris.
