US government Delegation visits Sulabh School Kids:


New Delhi: Senior representatives from the US government and The Boeing Company visited Sulabh campus on Tuesday. They spent a significant amount of time with children in Sulabh School.
This visit underscored the impactful collaboration between Sulabh and Boeing in empowering underserved children, with a strong emphasis on educational advancement and community development. Among the delegation were Ms. Nancy Izzo Jackson, Deputy Assistant Secretary, US Government, Mr. Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India & South Asia, Mr. Philip M Cummings, Deputy Minister Counselor – Economic Section, US Embassy of India, Mrs. Praveena Yagnambhat, Chief of Staff & BGE Lead Boeing India and South Asia.

Ms. Nancy Jackson praised Sulabh’s initiatives supported by Boeing and highlighted the US government’s commitment to improving education for underserved children, especially girls. Mr. Salil Gupte, President, Boeing India & South Asia addressed the students and encouraged them to contribute to India’s future.

Mrs. Praveena Yagnambhat fondly remembered Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Sulabh’s founder, and acknowledged his contributions to improving lives through sanitation. She also shared details on Boeing’s “Sukanya” program, which is aimed at getting young children interested in STEM. In addition to supporting the Sulabh School, Boeing CSR initiatives in the school include a STEM lab set up by Learning Links Foundation & library set up by Room to Read.

“The partnership between Boeing and Sulabh is anchored in our mutual dedication to promoting women’s empowerment, ensuring dignity and health, and making quality education accessible to all,” Sulabh International President Mr. Kumar Dilip stated. “For over 50 years, Sulabh has been dedicated to public service rooted in human rights and sanitation. Today, we honor our founder, Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, whose visionary leadership transformed Sulabh into one of the world’s largest sanitation movements, advocating for dignity and equality for all.”

Mr. Kumar highlighted that Sulabh Public School was founded in 1992 to provide free—and now affordable and quality education to children from marginalized communities. “Thanks to Boeing’s invaluable support, we are helping bridge the educational gap for underserved communities and supporting India’s goal of universal education,” he added.

​•​STEM Lab: Boeing has established a state-of-the-art STEM lab at Sulabh Public School, equipped with advanced technology and resources. This hands-on learning environment enables students to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a passion for innovation.
​•​Reading Room: In addition to the STEM lab, Boeing has set up a dedicated reading room for students. This space provides a quiet, inspiring environment where students can delve into literature, enhancing their literacy skills and fostering a love for reading, which supports their overall academic growth.
