Chartered Aircraft Gutted by Fire; Baramati Crash Shocks the Nation

Baramati (Maharashtra) : A devastating aircraft accident in Baramati on Wednesday morning has left the nation shaken. According to initial reports, a private chartered plane carrying NCP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar met with an accident during landing. Within moments, the aircraft skidded off the runway and was engulfed in flames.

Eyewitnesses described the crash as horrific, saying the aircraft was completely reduced to ashes within minutes. The intensity of the fire reportedly left no scope for immediate rescue. Locals said the explosion resembled a scene from a movie, with debris scattered across a wide area.

Teams from Pune Rural Police, local administration, and the fire department rushed to the spot. Authorities cordoned off the area and began rescue and investigation operations. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has taken cognizance of the incident and initiated a probe. An official confirmation regarding the condition of those on board is awaited, though the damage is feared to be severe.

Airport sources said the aircraft had arrived from Mumbai. As the pilot attempted to land at Baramati airport, the plane reportedly lost balance and veered off the runway. Witnesses claimed they heard an unusually loud noise during landing, followed by a massive explosion and fire.

Panic gripped the area after the incident. Police have appealed to the public to avoid rumors and wait for official updates. A detailed investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the crash.
