State-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 Held in Itanagar; 65 Delegates from 13 Districts Participate

Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) :  The State-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 was successfully आयोजित at Nokmey Namati Hall in the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, bringing together 65 युवा प्रतिभागी from 13 districts who had qualified at the district level.

The event was graced by Sh. Tesam Pongte, Hon’ble Speaker of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, as the Chief Guest. Sh. Chau Zingnu Namchoom, Hon’ble MLA from Namsai and Advisor to Sports & Youth Affairs, attended as the Guest of Honour, while Sh. Gumsen Lollen, State President, BJP Kisan Morcha, was present as the Special Guest.

Sh. Gopesh Pandey, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, Itanagar, welcomed the dignitaries and delegates and felicitated the guests.

Addressing the gathering, Guest of Honour Sh. Chau Zingnu Namchoom encouraged participants to perform their best and highlighted the significance of the theme, “Union Budget 2026: Strengthening the Indian Youth Path towards Viksit Bharat 2047.” Chief Guest Sh. Tesam Pongte also inspired the youth, emphasizing the importance of leadership and active participation in nation-building.

In the competition, Ms. Abida Begum from Lower Dibang Valley secured the first position, followed by Ms. Esha Kumari Sah from Tirap in second place, and Mr. Toawang Atoa, also from Tirap, in third place.

The winner will represent Arunachal Pradesh at the National-Level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026, while the second and third position holders will get an opportunity to witness the national event at Samvidhan Sadan, New Delhi, in the presence of the Hon’ble Speaker of India and other dignitaries.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Sh. Abhishek Mandal, Deputy Director, MY Bharat, Papum Pare, followed by the distribution of prizes and certificates to all participants.
