Science and Tradition Must Go Hand in Hand in Modern Era: Harsh Malhotra

New Delhi: Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra emphasized the need to balance science and tradition in today’s modern era while addressing the Astro Cultural Mahotsav Conclave held at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on Saturday. He stated that astrology, an integral part of India’s ancient cultural heritage, has guided people for thousands of years and can continue to be useful if applied with a positive and constructive approach.

“Ancient knowledge, when used for the right guidance and with a progressive mindset, can greatly benefit society,” Malhotra said.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta also addressed the gathering, highlighting that astrology reflects the deep connection between human existence and the universe. He noted that even in the 21st century, such traditional knowledge systems remain highly relevant. “In an era of rapid communication, platforms promoting traditional wisdom play a crucial role in maintaining social harmony,” he said.

Former Union Minister Ashwini Choubey described astrology as a significant discipline rooted in Indian culture and the Vedas, which has guided human life for centuries. He stressed that its application should focus on positivity and societal welfare.

The grand and historic “National Astrology Mahakumbh – Astro Cultural Mahotsav” brought together renowned astrologers from across the country on a single मंच. On this occasion, life designer and founder of Vastu Kendra – Astrology & Research Centre, Kunal Kumar, said astrology offers a scientific perspective to understand life’s challenges and possibilities, rather than merely predicting the future.

Chairman of Ram Ratan Group, Vijay Ram Ratan, also participated actively in the conclave and discussed the role of astrology in the real estate sector.

During the event, Davinder Singh, Director of Gem Lab, was honoured for his contribution to scientific identification, testing, and certification of gemstones. He explained that the primary objective of Gem Lab is to ensure authenticity and fair valuation of gemstones, protecting buyers from fraud.

Founder and Managing Trustee of Help U Educational and Charitable Trust, Dr. Harshvardhan Agrawal, was also felicitated. Co-founder and Director of ALLEN Career Institute, Brajesh Maheshwari, was among those honoured at the event.

Director of DH Discovery Electronics, Talvinder Singh Lali, extended special support to the conclave. In his address, he said his aim is to amplify spiritual voices through modern platforms and give new identity to events rooted in Sanatan traditions.

CEO of Astroz AI, Prateek Pandey, spoke about leveraging artificial intelligence to expand access to astrological knowledge and unveiled several insights into the field. Spiritual advisor and creative entrepreneur Keval Kapoor was also specially honoured during the program.

The conclave featured addresses by several prominent astrologers, including Dr. Y. Rakhi, G.D. Vashisht, Ajay Bhambi, Vivek Tripathi, Anil Vats, Dr. Neeti Sharma, Trishala Chaturvedi, Astro Ankit, Acharya Shubesh Sharman, Manoj Jain, Ritu Singh, Acharya Vikramaditya, Prof. (Dr.) Sujata Sharma, Dr. Arvind Kumar, Satender Prakash, Ramesh Yadav, Pawan Bhatia, and Dr. Shweta Sharma, among others.

The event also witnessed the presence of noted personalities such as storyteller Vardha Narayan, numerologist Anurag Puri, CEO of Riddhi Siddhi Advertising Agency Vinay Dhingra, Sandeep Kumar, Music Valley Director Yogesh Sharma, social worker Rashid Ismail, Ashi Jain from Sudhakar Gasoline, Director of Meghdoot Gramodyog Seva Sansthan Vivek Shukla, and President of Anubhuti Sanstha Sanjay Gautam.

Several senior journalists and media professionals, including National Union of Journalists President Ras Bihari, senior journalists Ashok Kinkar, Dadhbal Yadav, Rakesh Thapliyal, K.C. Vishnoi, Sanjay Poddar, and TV anchor Dr. Shrivardhan Trivedi, were also present.

Concluding the event, organizers Pradeep Srivastava and Fazle Gufran expressed gratitude to all guests and participants for making the conclave a success. They announced plans to organize the Astro Mahakumbh in different cities across the country in the future, with continued support from the government and the astrology community.
