Refreshment and Water Service Camp Organized for Workers, Passersby and the Needy in Burari
New Delhi: Former President of the Jharoda Mandal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and senior BJP leader Dr. Chander Prakash Dhawan actively participated in a series of social welfare initiatives on Sunday in the Burari Assembly constituency, promoting the message of environmental conservation and community service.
As part of the Yamuna Cleanliness Campaign launched at the call of the Delhi BJP, Dr. Dhawan joined a cleanliness drive along the banks of the Yamuna River and encouraged people to contribute towards environmental protection and river conservation. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Yamuna is not merely a river but an integral part of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage, and its cleanliness and preservation are a collective responsibility.
Following the cleanliness campaign, Dr. Dhawan organized a refreshment and water service camp at the Labour Chowk on Burari Main 100-Foot Road for workers, passersby, and underprivileged citizens. A large number of people were served chole bhature, while refreshing sherbet was distributed throughout the day to provide relief from the intense summer heat.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chander Prakash Dhawan said that social service is a core value of Indian culture and helping those in need is a shared responsibility. He remarked, “Whenever we get an opportunity, we join hands with our colleagues to do something meaningful for society. Service is our commitment, and public welfare is our inspiration.”

BJP workers and local residents also participated enthusiastically in the programme. Attendees appreciated the social initiatives undertaken by Dr. Dhawan and his team, describing them as an inspiring example of community service.
Local residents noted that such efforts not only provide immediate relief to those in need but also strengthen the values of compassion, cooperation, and public service within society. The campaign in Burari emerged as a significant example of public awareness and citizen participation in both environmental conservation and humanitarian service.
