Shyam Lal College and Shahabad XI will clash in 100th Traders Cup Hockey final at Nainital

New Delhi: The final of the 100th All India Traders Cup Hockey Tournament will be played between Shyam Lal College(University of Delhi) and Shahabad XI in Nainital.
The final of the tournament will be played on June 24 from 4.30 p.m.
In the first semi-final, Shyam Lal College’s hockey team defeated Lucknow Sports Authority of India 3-1 in way to qualify for the final. Both teams were tied 1-1 in regulation time.
In the second semifinal, Shahbad XI defeated Rishi Markande Shahbad in the shootout 7-6.
In the match between Shyam Lal College and Lucknow Sports Authority of India, Shivam Patel gave Lucknow SAI a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute while Nand Kishore scored through a penalty corner in the 45th minute for Shyam Lal College.
In the shootout, Mohit, Harsh and Nand Kishore scored for Shyam Lal College while Gaurav Yadav scored for Lucknow SAI. Thus, Shyam Lal College defeated Lucknow SAI 3-1 in the shootout. Shyam Lal College goalkeeper Mohammad Kamil performed brilliantly during the match and shootout.
In the second semi-final, Shahabad XI defeated Rishi Markanda Shahbad 7-6 in a shootout to ensure place in the final.
Both teams were tied at 1-1 at the regulation time. Koinur Preet Singh scored one goal for Rishi Markanda Shahbad while Harmandeep scored one goal for Shahbad XI.
In the shootout, Shahbad XI defeated Rishi Markande Shahbad 7-6 to secure their place in the final.
