Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary Meets Paralympic Medalists and Leading Sports Personalities

New Delhi: Union Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary met Paralympic medalists, Arjuna Award recipients, and prominent figures from the Indian sporting community at his official residence, 25, Tughlaq Road, New Delhi.
The delegation included celebrated Paralympic medalists and Arjuna Awardees Simran Sharma and Preeti Pal, who have brought laurels to the nation, along with their High Performance Coach from the Indian Army (ASC), Naik Gajendra Singh.
During the meeting, the participants held a constructive discussion on strengthening India’s sports ecosystem, enhancing training facilities, promoting sporting talent, and improving infrastructure and support systems for athletes.
Congratulating the athletes on their outstanding achievements, Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing world-class facilities and comprehensive support to sportspersons representing India on the global stage. He also listened to the athletes’ experiences and discussed suggestions aimed at further advancing sports development in the country.
Among those present were Amrish Tyagi, internationally renowned Indian Para Powerlifting Coach Sunil Kumar, Coach Pradeep Yadav, international athlete Rahul Sharma, and senior sports journalist and athlete Ajay Tomar (Acharya Ji).
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to promoting para sports, empowering athletes, and further strengthening India’s sporting infrastructure to help the country’s talent achieve greater success at international competitions.
