IPS Anurag Kumar Appointed as New Delhi Police Commissioner, Replaces Satish Golcha

New Delhi: The Government of India has appointed 1994-batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Anurag Kumar as the new Commissioner of Delhi Police. He succeeds IPS officer Satish Golcha, who has been relieved of the post.

Anurag Kumar was serving as the Special Director in the Intelligence Bureau (IB) before his appointment. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) issued an official order confirming his appointment as the new Delhi Police Commissioner.

With extensive experience in intelligence and internal security, Anurag Kumar is expected to lead the Delhi Police at a crucial time, overseeing law and order, security management, and policing in the national capital.

The Government of India has removed Satish Golcha from the post of Delhi Police Commissioner. However, no official details regarding his next assignment have been announced so far.
