‘Padharo Mhare Des’ Goes Global Through FIFA World Cup Final, Rajasthan Showcases Jaipur’s Heritage to the World
Digital Film Blends Football Fever with Jaipur’s UNESCO Heritage, Taking Rajasthan’s Tourism Brand to Millions Worldwide
Jaipur: Capitalising on the global excitement surrounding the FIFA World Cup Final, the Rajasthan Tourism Department has unveiled a visually captivating digital film showcasing Jaipur’s iconic heritage landmarks, giving the state’s renowned tourism campaign, ‘Padharo Mhare Des’, a global platform.
The cinematic film, approximately 90 seconds long, takes viewers through Jaipur’s vibrant Pink City, featuring iconic attractions such as Hawa Mahal, Amer Fort, and the UNESCO World Heritage site Jantar Mantar. Local football players are seen dribbling and playing through these historic locations, creatively blending the spirit of the world’s biggest football event with Rajasthan’s rich cultural legacy.
The campaign presents football as more than just a sport—it serves as a symbol connecting Jaipur’s architectural grandeur, living heritage, and youthful energy. The film highlights how global sporting events can become powerful tools for promoting cultural tourism and heritage destinations.
Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riyar said the FIFA World Cup Final is among the most-watched sporting events globally, making it an ideal opportunity to present Jaipur’s heritage before an international audience. She noted that digital platforms have become one of the most effective mediums for tourism promotion, particularly among young travellers and international tourists.
According to the Tourism Department, Rajasthan’s digital outreach continues to expand rapidly, with more than 642,000 followers on Instagram, 639,000 on Facebook, 208,000 on X, and over 127,000 subscribers on YouTube. Through these platforms, the department regularly promotes Rajasthan’s forts, palaces, wildlife, religious sites, folk traditions, handicrafts, cuisine, fairs, and festivals using engaging and authentic digital content.
Riyar added that the department’s digital strategy extends beyond destination marketing, providing information on tourism policies, homestays, rural tourism, wellness tourism, adventure tourism, film tourism, and major events across the state. High-quality digital films, professional photography, influencer collaborations, and campaigns linked to international events have become key pillars of Rajasthan’s tourism branding.
Tourism experts believe that leveraging global sporting events such as the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics for destination marketing has become an increasingly popular international trend. Rajasthan’s latest campaign reflects this global approach by combining sports, culture, and digital storytelling to strengthen the state’s international tourism appeal.
By linking the UNESCO World Heritage City of Jaipur with one of the world’s biggest sporting spectacles, the campaign showcases Rajasthan as a destination where history, culture, and modern creativity come together. Under the leadership of Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, the Rajasthan Tourism Department continues to use innovative digital communication and technology-driven branding to further strengthen the state’s presence on the global tourism map.
