Indian Bank Honoured with Rajbhasha Kirti Award for Third Consecutive Year Receives Second Prize for 2025–26

 

Chennai :  Indian Bank has received the Second Prize under the Rajbhasha Kirti Award 2025–26, marking the third consecutive year that the Bank has been recognised for its efforts to promote Hindi in banking operations. The award was presented during the Hindi Diwas celebrations at the 6th All India Rajbhasha Conference at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai.

 

Shri Shiv Bajrang Singh, Executive Director, Indian Bank, received the award from Hon’ble Ministers of State for Home Affairs Shri Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Shri Nityanand Rai, in the presence of Ms Ansuli Arya, Secretary, Department of Official Language. The conference also saw the release of ‘Main Dilli Hoon’, a coffee table book published by Indian Bank.

 

Indian Bank convener of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) (Banks/FIs), Chennai, received the Best Category award. The honor was received by
Ms V.N. Maya, Chief General Manager, Indian Bank, and Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, Assistant General Manager (Official Language) and Member Secretary, TOLIC.

Shri Pranesh Kumar, Field General Manager, Mumbai, along with other Bank officials and staff, attended the conference. The recognitions highlight Indian Bank’s focus on language-inclusive banking and customer-centric service, supporting its commitment to providing “Customer Service in the Customer’s Language.”
