Transport & Traffic InfraTech Expo Held at Bharat Mandapam, Focus on AI and Smart Mobility

New Delhi: The 14th edition of the prestigious Transport & Traffic InfraTech Expo, one of India’s leading platforms for transport infrastructure, was held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The two-day event, which concluded on October 8, was co-located with Road InfraTech, Parking InfraTech Expo, and ITS India Congress 2026.

This year’s expo was themed “Connected, Integrated and Intelligent Mobility for Viksit Bharat 2047.” More than 300 brands showcased their latest technological products, innovations and solutions at the exhibition.

The inaugural ceremony on October 7 was attended by senior government officials and industry experts, including Mahmood Ahmad, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways; Pankaj Kumar, Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT); and Vishwender, Special Commissioner (Transport), Government of Delhi, among others.

Addressing the inaugural session, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Mahmood Ahmad said, “Transport and connectivity have a crucial role to play in achieving the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. Our objective is to create a system that is intelligent, safe and interconnected, making transportation across the country smarter and more seamless.”

The expo placed special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence-based traffic solutions, connected vehicles and multi-lane free-flow tolling. Leading industry players, including Aditya Infotech (CP PLUS), Vizpro Consultac, Samriddhi Automations, Netrabit Networks and Prama India, showcased technologies such as AI-powered video analytics, Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras, real-time incident detection and highway UPS solutions.

The event received support from key government ministries and institutions, including the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and CSIR-Central Road Research Institute (CSIR-CRRI).

The expo provided a platform for policymakers, technology companies, infrastructure developers and industry experts to explore emerging solutions for building a safer, smarter, connected and future-ready mobility ecosystem in line with India’s vision for Viksit Bharat 2047.
