Baba Siddique Murder Case: Maharashtra Government’s Statement

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have commented on the Baba Siddique murder case. Both leaders clearly stated that the government would conduct an in-depth investigation into the matter. They assured that those responsible for Baba Siddique’s murder, regardless of who they are, would not be spared. Amid opposition demands for resignation, the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have promised that every possible measure will be taken to maintain law and order, ensuring strict punishment for the culprits.

Reacting to the case, CM Eknath Shinde said, “Two individuals have been arrested in connection with Baba Siddique’s murder. One suspect is on the run, and teams are actively pursuing him. We are committed to ensuring the harshest punishment for those involved. The police are thoroughly investigating, and the government will dig deep into the case. No one, regardless of who they are, will be spared. The police are determined to identify the mastermind and will fast-track this case, pushing for the death penalty in court. Mumbai Police are on the job.”

Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, who handles Maharashtra’s Home Department, commented from Gondia district, “The investigation is examining various angles, but the police will provide details later.” He added, “We are all shocked by this horrific and tragic incident. Baba Siddique was a close associate of mine, and we had worked together for many years. Some leads have been discovered, but I cannot reveal them at this time. Several motives are being investigated, and further information will be disclosed once the legal process is complete.”
