Delhi Government Sprinkling Water, Yet Dust Clouds Rise in Burari Streets on MLA’s Instructions !
New Delhi: The irony is stark—while Delhi government MLAs point fingers at the central government and neighboring states over pollution issues, the Public Works Department (PWD) has started sprinkling water in some areas to control dust. Meanwhile, in the Burari area, streets are filled with clouds of dust following instructions from Aam Aadmi Party MLA Sanjeev Jha.
Numerous lanes in the constituency were dug up months ago, but construction has been crawling along at a slow pace, leaving loose sand, dirt, and gravel that further contribute to the pollution. Residents are struggling to cope with rising pollution, which has led to breathing difficulties, eye irritation, and an increase in cold and cough cases in nearly every household.
Locals express their frustration, saying MLA Sanjeev Jha only makes announcements on social media and interacts with a limited circle. Each deadline he sets has been missed, leaving residents increasingly dissatisfied amidst rising pollution levels.
