New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday released its second list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. In a significant move, the party has shifted former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia from his traditional Patparganj seat to Jangpura. For Patparganj, the party has fielded Awadh Ojha, an educationist and popular YouTuber who recently joined AAP.

In other key announcements, the party has nominated Vikas Bagga from Krishna Nagar, Naveen Chaudhary (Deepu) from Gandhi Nagar, Padma Shri Jitendra Singh Shanti from Shahdara, and Adil Ahmed Khan from Mustafabad. Additionally, Prem Kumar Chauhan will contest from Deoli, while Anjana Parcha has been fielded from Trilokpuri.

Other notable names include Dinesh Bhardwaj (Narela), Rakesh Jatav Dharmrakshak (Mongolpuri), Surendra Pal Singh Bittu (Timarpur), Mukesh Goyal (Adarsh Nagar), Jasbir Karla (Mundka), Pradeep Mittal (Rohini), Punaradeep Singh Sahni (Chandni Chowk), and Pravesh Ratan (Patel Nagar). Rounding out the list are Rakhi Bidlan (Madipur), Praveen Kumar (Janakpuri), Surendra Bhardwaj (Bijwasan), and Joginder Solanki (Palam).

In November, AAP had released its first list of 11 candidates. The candidate selection process for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections is ongoing. During the 2020 elections, AAP had dropped 15 sitting MLAs from its list of 70 candidates and introduced 24 new faces, including current Chief Minister Atishi, Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha, and Dilip Pandey. The trio had earlier contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections but did not secure wins.

The Aam Aadmi Party continues its strategy of balancing experienced leaders with fresh candidates, aiming to strengthen its hold in the capital ahead of the elections.
