Arvind Kejriwal should improve the safety of students and the functioning of schools: Devendra Yadav
New Delhi: Devendra Yadav, President of the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee, stated that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal’s action of writing a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, requesting time to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in the capital, is nothing but a political drama.
In a statement, Devendra Yadav asked Arvind Kejriwal whether it is right to politicize every event and activity. He pointed out that when the government, schools, institutions, metro services, and buses all belong to the Delhi government, then the responsibility for incidents like bomb threats must also lie with the Delhi government, as the security guards and arrangements are under its control.
He said that the Delhi Congress demands that Arvind Kejriwal take responsibility for the worsening situation in Delhi and immediately ask for the resignation of Chief Minister Atishi, as the government is being run by Kejriwal, not Atishi.
Devendra Yadav further emphasized that the bomb threat to the Reserve Bank undermines the dignity of the country and questions the effectiveness of its security. He also raised concerns over the growing prevalence of cybercrime, questioning whether our police and intelligence agencies are helpless and ineffective in dealing with such antisocial elements.
He concluded by stating that the bomb threats to 30-40 schools on December 9, 13, and 14, and the bomb threats to 170 airplanes across the country, reflect a clear failure of the Delhi government, the central government, and the Delhi police under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
