Ram Gopal Varma Doesn’t Want to Work with Janhvi Kapoor

Sridevi’s daughter, Janhvi Kapoor, is often compared to her legendary mother. However, a renowned filmmaker recently expressed a differing opinion, stating that he doesn’t see the same spark in Janhvi as in Sridevi. The director candidly remarked, “I have no desire to work with Janhvi Kapoor.”
Known for his bold statements and celebrated for movies like Rangeela, Satya, Company, and Bhoot, director Ram Gopal Varma opened up about his admiration for Sridevi in a recent interview. Sharing his thoughts on Janhvi Kapoor, he rejected comparisons between the mother and daughter, calling it “Sridevi’s hangover.”
“I Prefer the Mother, Not the Daughter”
Praising Sridevi, Varma said, “Her performances mesmerized me to the extent that I forgot I was a filmmaker and watched her as an enchanted audience member.” When asked about the possibility of working with Janhvi Kapoor, he bluntly replied, “I loved the mother, not the daughter.” However, he clarified that his statement was not made with ill intent.
Elaborating further, he said, “There are many big stars in the industry that I’ve never worked with simply because I didn’t feel any connection. Similarly, I have no intention of working with Janhvi Kapoor.”
Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, Ram Gopal Varma is set to make a comeback with a new film starring his Satya actor, Manoj Bajpayee. Janhvi Kapoor, who was recently seen in Devara, has several upcoming projects lined up, including Sunny Sanskar Ki Tulsi Kumari and Param Sundari.
