Who Are the People Spreading False Propaganda?
Lucknow (UP) : During the budget session, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely criticized the Samajwadi Party and the opposition parties in the Assembly. Quoting a couplet, the Chief Minister held up a mirror to them:
“The magic of their words is enchanting,
They set fire and talk about spring.
Those who plundered settlements in the night,
Now talk about the plight of the unfortunate.”
The Chief Minister stated in the Assembly that while they were participating in discussions, more than 56.25 crore devotees had already taken a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam. Targeting the opposition parties, he said that their baseless rants and fake videos against Sanatan Dharma, Mother Ganga, India’s faith, and the Maha Kumbh are not just an attack on 56 crore people but an assault on the eternal faith of India.
This is Not a Party or Government Event, But a Social Gathering
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Maha Kumbh is not an event of any particular party or government, but of society as a whole. The government stands behind it only to facilitate and fulfill its responsibilities as a servant. He asserted that fulfilling responsibilities as a servant is their duty, and they will do so diligently because they recognize their obligations.
He further stated that they hold deep respect for India’s Sanatan traditions, and it is their responsibility to honor these traditions. It is a privilege for the government to be associated with the century’s greatest Maha Kumbh. Ignoring all propaganda, people from across the country and the world have participated in this grand event, making it a resounding success.
Our Condolences to the Bereaved Families
Responding to opposition members Dr. R.K. Patel, Sangram Singh Yadav, and Aradhana Mishra ‘Mona’, the Chief Minister said that he is fully aware of his responsibilities. He paid tribute to the victims of the stampede on January 29 and the devotees who lost their lives in road accidents while traveling to or from the Maha Kumbh.
“We offer our condolences to the bereaved families. The government stands with them and will provide all possible assistance. The real question is, how appropriate is it to politicize such a tragic incident?” he questioned.
Who Are the People Spreading False Propaganda?
CM Yogi thanked Assembly member Manoj Pandey for raising the issue of rumors and misinformation. He questioned, “Who are these people spreading propaganda by linking accidents from Cairo, Nepal, Jharkhand, and other parts of the country to the Maha Kumbh and Jhunsi?”
Socialists Bite the Hand That Feeds Them
After reciting a couplet, the Chief Minister took a jibe at the Leader of the Opposition, stating, “This is not Urdu; this is Hindi.” He accused the opposition of opposing even the inclusion of regional languages in the Assembly.
“Opposing every good initiative is the socialist tradition,” he remarked. He clarified that Hindi remains the official language of the Assembly, but members have been given the liberty to speak in their regional languages, which are also written in the Devanagari script.
He further advised the opposition to welcome this move and engage with a positive mindset. Addressing the Leader of the Opposition, he said, “I do not mock your opposition because I know it is in your nature.” He concluded with a sharp remark:
“Today’s socialists are known for biting the hand that feeds them.”
