Roundglass Hockey Academy Finishes Third in K.D. Singh Babu Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament

Mohali (Punjab) : Roundglass Hockey Academy (RGHA) secured third place in the 35th All India K.D. Singh Babu Sub-Junior Prize Money Hockey Tournament 2025 with a commanding 19-1 victory over Rajasthan Hockey Academy. The match was played at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Lucknow. Anshpreet Singh delivered a stellar performance, netting seven goals, while Manveer Singh added four for the defending champions. Ranvir Singh, Harkirat Singh, and Gurmanavdeep Singh contributed with two goals each, while Nishant Tanwar and Ranveer Singh rounded off the dominant win with a goal apiece.
RGHA completely dominated the match from the first whistle, scoring their first goal through Anshpreet Singh in the fifth minute and the 19th goal was scored in the 59th minute, with Anshpreet Singh scoring his seventh goal of the match. RGHA scored six goals in the first quarter, four in the second, two in the third quarter and finished the final quarter with seven goals. The consolation goal for Rajasthan came in the 48th minute through Prince.
Rachit Diwakar was adjudged as the Best Right Half of the tournament while Princepal Singh was awarded as the Best Goalkeeper of the tournament. Both the players received Rs. 10,000 each while the team received Rs. 50,000 for their third place finish. The Sub-Junior side of RGHA is coached by Ravinder Singh and Ranjit Singh is the Manager.
RGHA went down 1-2 to Naval Tata Academy, Odisha in the semi-finals yesterday. In the quarterfinals, they got the better of Manmohan Hockey Academy 7-1 and were completely dominant in the group stages, winning all three matches in dominant fashion scoring 21 goals and conceding just twice. They beat Dhyan Chand Hockey Academy 8-2, M.M Sports Club, Haryana 5-0 and finished the group stages with a resounding 8-0 victory over Flicker Bro Hockey Academy, Shahabad to cruise to the knockout stages.
