U.S. Halts All Military Aid to Ukraine

Washington :  A major fallout has emerged from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s recent visit to the U.S. and his clash with President Donald Trump. The White House has announced that President Trump has imposed a ban on all forms of U.S. military aid to Ukraine. He has ordered an immediate halt to military aid shipments.

According to a CNN report, President Trump issued the order following a heated debate with the Ukrainian President in the Oval Office last week. Trump emphasized that his focus is on achieving peace and stated that Ukraine must also commit to this goal. A White House official confirmed that, following the President’s directive, military assistance to Ukraine is being halted.

Officials and analysts believe this decision will have a significant impact on Ukraine, severely affecting its war-fighting capabilities. A White House official stated that the ban would remain in place until Zelenskyy agrees to a peace negotiation settlement. However, despite the growing tensions between Washington and Kyiv, several European nations have pledged their continued support to Ukraine.

Mark Cancian, a senior advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, noted that while the impact of the halt may not be immediate, Ukraine will begin to feel its effects within two to four months. With European support, Kyiv may be able to sustain its fight for now, but ultimately, Ukraine may have to accept an unfavorable peace agreement.
