Enforcement Directorate Raids Former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel’s Residence

Raipur (Chhatisgarh): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a raid on the residence of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and Congress National General Secretary Bhupesh Baghel on Monday morning. According to official sources, ED teams have carried out searches at a total of 14 locations across the state, including Baghel’s residence in Bhilai and his son Chaitanya Baghel’s house.

Multiple ED teams simultaneously conducted raids in Raipur, Bhilai, and other districts. The agency officials arrived at Baghel’s residence at 7 AM, and he is currently being questioned by the officials.

The Congress party has alleged that the ED’s actions are politically motivated and carried out at the behest of the BJP.

The raid is part of an investigation into money laundering and financial irregularities. Notably, Bhupesh Baghel’s name had surfaced in cases related to the liquor scam, coal scam, and the Mahadev betting app case, putting him on the ED’s radar.
