Massive Fire Breaks Out in Bawana Factory, Explosion Causes Building Collapse

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out early Saturday morning at a factory in Delhi’s Bawana Industrial Area, followed by a powerful explosion that led to the complete collapse of the building. The incident triggered panic in the surrounding area.

Director of Delhi Fire Services (DFS), Atul Garg, said that the fire was reported at 4:48 AM, after which 17 fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site in Sector 2.

Officials stated that shortly after the fire broke out, an explosion occurred within the factory premises, causing the entire structure to collapse. No casualties have been reported so far, though rescue and relief operations are ongoing.

Firefighters are working tirelessly to bring the blaze under control and are ensuring that no one remains trapped under the debris.

Authorities have said that an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire. It is still unclear what chemicals or materials were stored in the factory that might have led to the explosion.

Currently, teams from the local administration, police, and fire department are present at the scene and monitoring the situation closely.

The incident has once again raised serious concerns about industrial safety standards in Delhi.
