Saurabh Bharadwaj Slams BJP, Says – “BJP Lying to Take Credit for Garbage Dump Clearance”

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi state president and minister Saurabh Bharadwaj launched a sharp attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, accusing it of falsely claiming credit for reducing Delhi’s garbage dumps just a month after taking over the Municipal Corporation.

Bharadwaj said, “It has only been a month since BJP appointed a mayor in the municipal corporation. Has the garbage mountain disappeared already, for which the BJP is now roaming around claiming credit? If there has been any actual reduction in the garbage dumps, the credit goes to the AAP-led MCD administration. How can the BJP take credit for that?”

He also questioned the role of Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor and newly appointed Mayor Rekha Gupta, saying, “What does the Lieutenant Governor have to do with this? If Mayor Rekha Gupta really reduced the garbage dumps, let her provide the data to prove it.”

Bharadwaj further alleged that the BJP is spreading lies to demean the Chief Minister. “They are lying at every step just to bring down the stature of the Chief Minister. BJP leaders should refrain from such tactics,” he said.

The Aam Aadmi Party clarified that any progress in Delhi’s waste management and municipal reforms is the result of the policies and efforts initiated during AAP’s previous term in the MCD. The party urged the BJP to rise above petty politics and present facts to the public instead of misleading them.
