Prime Minister Narendra Modi Conferred with Ghana’s Highest National Honour

New Delhi: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been conferred with Ghana’s highest national award, the Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana, by President John Dramani Mahama. The honour recognizes PM Modi’s exceptional governance and influential global leadership. Accepting the award on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the recognition to the aspirations of India’s youth, the nation’s rich cultural heritage and diversity, and the historic ties between India and Ghana. Expressing gratitude to the people and government of Ghana, the Prime Minister emphasized that shared democratic values and traditions continue to strengthen the partnership between the two countries. He stated that this honour deepens the bond of friendship and places a renewed responsibility on him to further advance bilateral relations.

Prime Minister Modi expressed confidence that his historic state visit to Ghana will give new momentum to India-Ghana relations and reinforce cooperation on the global stage.
