Delhi Double Murder Case: Mother and Son Brutally Killed in Lajpat Nagar, Domestic Help Arrested

New Delhi: A horrifying double murder has shaken the Lajpat Nagar-1 area of the national capital. The bodies of a 42-year-old woman, Ruchika, and her 14-year-old son, Krish, were recovered from their residence. Delhi Police have arrested the family’s domestic help, who is the prime suspect in the case, and further investigation is underway.

The incident came to light around 9:43 PM on Monday, when the victim’s husband, Kuldeep (44), made a PCR call to the police. He informed them that his wife and son were not responding to calls, the house door was locked from inside, and blood stains were visible on the gate and staircase.

Police immediately rushed to the spot and forcibly opened the door. What they found inside was chilling — the mother and son were lying in a pool of blood. Their bodies were taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination.

According to Delhi Police, the domestic help’s behavior during initial questioning raised suspicions. Upon further interrogation, the suspect was arrested. However, the exact motive behind the murders is still unclear.

The police are examining CCTV footage, call records, and other evidence to piece together the sequence of events. Meanwhile, the incident has left the neighborhood in a state of shock and fear.
