JioHotstar Unveils Spy Thriller ‘Salaakaar’, Premieres August 8

Mumbai : JioHotstar has released the teaser of its upcoming web series ‘Salaakaar’, a gripping spy thriller inspired by true events, set to premiere on August 8, 2025. Directed by Faruk Kabir and produced by Sphereorigins and Mahir Films, the series stars Naveen Kasturia, Mouni Roy, Mukesh Rishi, and Surya Sharma. Spanning two timelines — 1978 and 2025 — Salaakaar tells the riveting tale of a brave Indian spy who uses intelligence, not weapons, to expose a top-secret nuclear facility in Pakistan. The show blends suspense, emotion, and high-stakes espionage.  Director Faruk Kabir described it as “not just a spy thriller, but a deeply emotional journey of sacrifice and strategy.” The lead actors called it one of their most challenging and rewarding roles.
