Himachal Mitra Mandal Delhi Provides Aid to Flood Victims in Mandi


New Delhi :  Social organizations Himachal Mitra Mandal Delhi (Regd.) and Himachal Mandi Jan Kalyan Sabha (Regd.) have extended financial support to families affected by the recent cloudburst in Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh. Through SDM Gohar, the organizations provided ₹10,000 each to 8 severely impacted families. Additionally, ₹10,000 per family was given to 7 disaster-hit families in Karsog, and 21 families in Dharmpur have been identified for upcoming aid. The organizations also offered to sponsor the education and care of daughters from families who lost their members in the tragedy. Assistance in Seraj area will be coordinated through SDM Thunag.

Chief Patron Shri Kishori Lal Sharma stated that these bodies had also contributed to disaster relief in 2023, including donations to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Besides disaster relief, the organizations actively promote Himachali culture in Delhi and have organized free eye camps and cancer awareness drives in Mandi district, along with supporting underprivileged children.
