Bhopal: Arogya Bharati’s 11th Annual Health Lecture Series Concludes with Emphasis on Holistic Living

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) : The 11th Annual Health Lecture Series organized by Arogya Bharati Bhopal Metropolitan was held today at Anjani Auditorium, Ravindra Bhavan, Polytechnic Square, in a dignified atmosphere. A large number of doctors, social workers, students, health-conscious citizens, and media representatives were present on the occasion.

Cultural Opening and Lamp Lighting

The program began with a short play on Lord Shri Ram presented by children, inspiring the audience with values of Indian culture and discipline. Following this, dignitaries on the stage paid floral tribute to Lord Dhanvantari and lit the ceremonial lamp to formally inaugurate the event.

Address by the Guest of Honor

Guest of Honor Dr. Ashok Kumar Varshney (National Organizing Secretary, Arogya Bharati) highlighted the journey of the organization, recalling its foundation in 2002. He said that Arogya Bharati is now active across every state of the country with the goal not merely to cure illnesses but to inspire every citizen to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

Keynote by the Chief Guest

Chief Guest Shri Swant Ranjan Ji (All-India Head of Publicity, Lucknow) described the body as the supreme medium of spiritual practice. He remarked, “Only if the body remains healthy can we serve religion, society, and the nation to our fullest capacity.”

He emphasized disciplined and seasonal diets, calling the household kitchen the safest pharmacy. Highlighting the importance of daily routine, he stressed waking up at Brahma Muhurta and regular exercise, noting that the morning’s fresh air energizes the entire day.

Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s Address

The keynote address was delivered by renowned thinker, writer, and filmmaker Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi (celebrated for the iconic TV series “Chanakya”). Speaking on “Health Thinking in Indian Cultural Concept and Its Relevance in the Present Context”, he said, “Science means special knowledge, but when compassion is added to it, only then does true social development take place.”

He described medicine not as a mere profession but as a duty rooted in service and empathy. Stressing that competition and comparison are the biggest causes of stress today, he urged the practice of self-reflection as the true mantra for a joyful life. Quoting Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi, he underlined that the desire to accumulate more than necessary leads to suffering, while contentment and self-acceptance are the real sources of happiness.

Presenting a fresh perspective, he said: “I am not ok, You are not ok, but We are ok”—explaining that the balance of life and society is possible only through this outlook.

Presidential Address

The program was presided over by His Holiness Shrimad Jagadguru Sukhanand Dwaracharya Swami Raghav Devacharya Ji Maharaj, who said, “The creation of a strong nation is possible only when we make the nation healthy.” He emphasized purity in diet, lifestyle, and conduct as the foundation of a healthy individual and society.

Felicitation and Oath

On this occasion, social worker Ajay Raghuvanshi was honored with the Dhanvantari Seva Samman for providing free treatment to numerous cancer patients. The program was conducted by Mihir Kumar, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Rajesh Sharma, President of the Madhya Bharat region.

The event concluded with a collective pledge by all participants to adopt the mantra “My Health is My Responsibility” in their lives and actively contribute to building a health-conscious society.
