Arunachal Pradesh Extends ₹5 Crore Aid to Flood-Hit Himachal Pradesh
Itanagar (Arunachal Pradesh) : In a strong gesture of solidarity, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has sanctioned ₹5 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to assist people affected by the recent floods in Himachal Pradesh.
The amount will be contributed to the Himachal Pradesh Aapda Raahat Kosh–2025, a dedicated relief fund created by the Himachal Pradesh government to mobilize resources and provide large-scale support to flood victims.
Expressing his deep concern over the devastation, CM Khandu said:
“Natural disasters do not recognize boundaries. At such moments, it is our duty as Indians to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in distress. This contribution is a humble step from the people of Arunachal Pradesh towards easing the suffering of those affected in Himachal Pradesh.”
The Himachal Pradesh government has already launched a campaign through the Aapda Raahat Kosh–2025 to ensure timely relief, rehabilitation, and recovery measures for flood-affected families. The contribution from Arunachal Pradesh is expected to strengthen these ongoing efforts and provide much-needed support to the affected communities.
