Chirag Paswan in Patna: “Seat-Sharing Must Be Respectful”; Challenges Congress-RJD Alliance

Patna (Bihar): Chirag Paswan, National President of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), made a significant statement on alliance politics and the Congress’s activities during an interaction with the media in Patna. On the question of seat-sharing, he remarked, “It should be respectful; who has stayed in an alliance without a respectful agreement?”

Taking a dig at the Congress Working Committee’s Patna meeting, Paswan described it as a battle for dominance. He said, “Rahul Gandhi comes, campaigns with Tejashwi Yadav, grabs the limelight, and leaves. It is now clear that a direct tussle for supremacy has begun between Congress and RJD.”

Chirag Paswan also challenged both Congress and RJD, saying that if they have the courage, they should contest the Bihar Assembly elections alone. He reminded that his party had contested the 2020 Assembly elections independently and had shown its strength.

Regarding Priyanka Gandhi’s Bihar visit and her interaction programs with women, Paswan said it was a good initiative, but she should have visited earlier. On the Chief Election Commissioner’s visit to Bihar, he noted that such pre-election visits are a tradition and termed it “the beginning of an auspicious day,” adding that discussions on the seat-sharing formula would soon commence.
