16 IAS Officers from Uttar Pradesh Appointed as Observers for First Phase of Bihar Assembly Elections, to Report on October 16
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh): Sixteen senior IAS officers from Uttar Pradesh have been appointed as election observers for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections. Acting on the directions of the Election Commission of India (ECI), these officers will travel to Bihar to oversee the electoral process and ensure that polling is conducted fairly, peacefully and transparently.
According to official sources, the officers are scheduled to report in Bihar on October 16. Their responsibilities will include reviewing polling booth preparations, voter lists, polling materials, and security arrangements ahead of the elections.
The 16 IAS officers appointed as observers include Ajay Kumar Shukla, Balkar Singh, Chaitra V, Om Prakash, Selva Kumari J, Amit Singh Bansal, Bhanu Chandra Goswami, Pranjal Yadav, Uday Bhanu Tripathi, Anamika Singh, Bhawani Singh Khangarot, Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, G.S. Naveen Kumar, and Raj Shekhar.
Meanwhile, for the second phase of the elections, 15 more IAS officers from Uttar Pradesh will be deployed as observers in Bihar. They are expected to report on October 19.
The first phase of polling is scheduled for November 6, while the second phase will take place on November 11.
