Major Setback for VIP: National Vice President Badri Purvey Resigns, Speculation Rises Over His Possible Move to BJP

Darbhanga (Bihar): Political circles in Bihar are abuzz after Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahani faced a major setback on Sunday with the resignation of the party’s National Vice President, Badri Purvey. He announced his decision publicly through social media, triggering intense speculation about his next political move.

In his Facebook post, Purvey wrote, “I am resigning from all responsibilities in the party. This decision has been taken after due consideration of the organizational circumstances.”

Though he refrained from making any statement about his future plans, his recent meeting with NDA candidate and Bihar minister Sanjay Saraogi in Darbhanga has fueled speculation that he may soon join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Political analysts believe Purvey’s exit from VIP may not be a mere personal decision but part of a broader political strategy. If he joins the BJP, it could help the NDA strengthen its social and electoral base in Darbhanga and nearby regions.

VIP chief Mukesh Sahani has not yet issued an official response to the development, but Purvey’s resignation has certainly raised questions about the party’s internal stability.
