Action Will Be Taken for Laxity in Helping the Victims: CM Yogi Adityanath
Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued strict instructions to officials, stating that there should be no laxity in addressing public grievances or helping the affected under any circumstances. He warned that if negligence is found, action will be taken against the concerned officials. He emphasized that if there is any difficulty in resolving a victim’s issue, the root cause must be identified and addressed promptly. He also instructed that if a matter is being deliberately delayed at any level, accountability must be ensured.
These directives were given by CM Yogi on Sunday morning during his Janata Darshan (public grievance redressal program) at the Gorakhnath Temple. The event took place in front of the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Bhavan within the temple premises, where the Chief Minister met with nearly 200 people and listened to their concerns.
CM Yogi reassured everyone, stating:
“No one needs to worry or be distressed. Every problem will be resolved effectively.”
He instructed administrative and police officials present to ensure that public grievances are resolved in a timely, impartial, and high-quality manner. In some cases, he also directed officers to investigate why certain individuals did not receive assistance from the administration, and to ensure swift support to all genuine victims.
Taking cognizance of land encroachment complaints, he ordered strict legal action against the perpetrators. To those who had arrived with various needs, he gave assurance that every eligible person would receive the benefits of government welfare schemes.
As in previous Janata Darshan programs, many individuals appealed for financial help for medical treatment. In response, CM Yogi instructed officials to quickly process the hospital estimates and submit them to the government, assuring that sufficient assistance would be provided through the Chief Minister’s Discretionary Fund.
Many women with young children also came to the Janata Darshan. CM Yogi interacted affectionately with them, offering blessings and chocolates to the children.
