Anurag Thakur Says: Giving a Strong Response to Pakistan Is More Important Than a Parliamentary Debate
New Delhi : Commenting on the Congress party’s demand for a special session of Parliament in light of the Pahalgam terror attack, BJP MP Anurag Thakur stated that, “Today, it is more important to take steps that deliver a strong response to Pakistan than to merely hold discussions in Parliament.”
He emphasized that the government always believes in discussion. “There is no objection to holding discussions at the appropriate time. We believe in democracy, and whenever there has been a demand for discussion in the House, we have engaged in it,” he said.
Chirag Paswan Says: Time to Deliver a Fitting Response
Meanwhile, Union Minister Chirag Paswan also commented on the issue in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Responding to the opposition’s demand for a special session, he said that the government would take the right decision at the right time. “This is the time to deliver a fitting response. Just as the terrorists were dealt with after Pulwama, efforts are being made to ensure a similar response to the Pahalgam incident,” Paswan said.
