Ayushmann Khurrana Advocates for Online Safety and Responsible Digital Behavior
New Delhi: On the occasion of Safer Internet Day, UNICEF India’s National Brand Ambassador and Bollywood star Ayushmann Khurrana has taken it upon himself to raise awareness among children and youth about staying safe in the digital world. Given the increasing use of the internet, this initiative aims to emphasize the importance of online safety and protect children from cyber threats.
Ayushmann visited the UNICEF India and Child Rights Organization (Pratyek) center, where he engaged with children in fun and educational games about digital safety, helping them understand the importance of internet security. Discussing the safe world of the internet, Ayushmann said, “In today’s time, everyone, from 5-6 year olds to the elderly, is using the internet. Therefore, it is essential to educate children, especially those using the internet for the first time, about its dangers and how to avoid them. On this Safer Internet Day, I visited UNICEF with Pratyek, where I learned important internet safety rules with the children.”
Sharing his perspective on internet security, Ayushmann added, “On this Safer Internet Day, I want to promote online safety and responsible digital behavior in collaboration with UNICEF. It’s crucial to provide children with tools so they can report any issues or threats they face online. This not only ensures their safety but also that of others. Parents should also have open conversations with their children about online challenges so they can find solutions to any problems. If we all use the internet responsibly, we can make it a platform that empowers everyone and remains safe.”
Ayushmann Khurrana’s initiative on Safer Internet Day highlights his commitment to children’s rights and digital safety. His efforts are inspiring, aiming to create a safer and more inclusive digital world that can bring about positive change in the future.
