Patna (Bihar): Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday remotely launched the ‘Hamara Bihar, Hamari Sadak’ mobile app. This Android-based app has been developed under the Rural Works Department. After the launch, the Chief Minister stated that through this advanced technology, not only will the traffic system in rural areas improve, but public participation will also accelerate infrastructure development.
The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining all roads and ensuring quick resolution of complaints from the public. He instructed that continuous monitoring should be carried out to resolve issues promptly. During the event, Deepak Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Secretary of the Rural Works Department, gave a detailed explanation of the working process of the ‘Hamara Bihar, Hamari Sadak’ mobile app.
Through this app, the public can now report issues related to the poor condition of roads, such as potholes, damaged edges, and other problems. The app will be available throughout the state, providing a platform for people to easily share road-related issues. Users will be able to upload details and images of any road problems. The app’s goal is to ensure transparency and accountability in the maintenance and upkeep of rural roads in the state.
The app will provide a list of 65,000 kilometers of rural roads under the maintenance of all blocks in the state. Users can select their block’s road and report issues such as potholes along with photographs. After filing a complaint through the ‘Hamara Bihar, Hamari Sadak’ app, the concerned official will resolve the issue within the stipulated time, and the app will also provide updates on the status of the resolution. Once the issue is resolved, the concerned official will upload a picture of the repaired site. This will ensure transparency in the maintenance process of rural roads.
The app is designed to foster direct communication between citizens and the government. ‘Hamara Bihar, Hamari Sadak’ is now available on the Google Play Store. Citizens can download it, register their complaints, and contribute to improving Bihar’s roads.
