Film ‘Sky Force’ Earns ₹98.55 Crore in One Week
New Delhi : The film Sky Force was released on Friday, January 24, and has been creating a lot of buzz, especially for its patriotic theme. Starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, the film had a strong opening at the box office, and its earnings saw a significant increase over the weekend.
Veer Pahariya made his Bollywood debut with Sky Force. He is the grandson of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The film is set during the 1965 India-Pakistan war, focusing on India’s counter-attack on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase. Veer Pahariya plays the role of T. Vijay, a character inspired by the real-life hero Azzamda Boppayya Devayya. Akshay Kumar portrays Wing Commander K.O. Ajuha, a role inspired by the real-life hero O.P. Taneja.
Box Office Collection in One Week:
Sky Force had a strong opening at the box office. On its release day, Friday, the film earned ₹15.30 crore. The next day saw a significant increase in earnings, with the film earning ₹26.30 crore on Saturday. On Sunday, January 26 (a public holiday), the film’s earnings were even higher, reaching ₹31.60 crore. However, there was a dip in earnings on Monday, with the film making ₹8.10 crore. On the fifth day, the film earned ₹5.75 crore, followed by ₹6 crore on the sixth day and ₹5.50 crore on the seventh day. In total, the film has earned ₹98.55 crore in its first week.
Sky Force also stars Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, and Bogumila Bubak in important roles. With a budget of ₹160 crore, the film is nearing the ₹100 crore mark at the box office.
