Improvement in Air Pollution Levels in Delhi-NCR: AQI 169 at India Gate at 7 AM
New Delhi: The fourth stage of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) is in effect in the National Capital Region (NCR) to tackle the severe air pollution crisis. This morning brought some respite to the residents of NCR from poor air quality. At 7 AM, the Air Quality Index (AQI) at India Gate in Delhi was recorded at 169, categorized as “moderate.” Delhi also experienced a minimum temperature of 13.05 degrees Celsius.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board’s website, the AQI levels at 7 AM were as follows:
India Gate: 169 (Moderate)
Anand Vihar: 250 (Poor)
Alipur: 198 (Moderate)
Aya Nagar: 164 (Moderate)
Chandni Chowk: 187 (Moderate)
Dwarka Sector-8: 248 (Poor)
ITO: 169 (Moderate)
Indirapuram, Ghaziabad: 125 (Moderate)
Vasundhara: 114 (Moderate)
Sector-62, Noida: 158 (Moderate)
The data indicates a slight improvement in air quality across several areas, though pollution levels in certain locations remain in the “poor” category.
