Kangana Ranaut’s Film ‘Emergency’ Faces a Setback

New Delhi : Actress Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, initially scheduled for release in June 2024, has run into controversy. After some scenes were cut, the censor board finally cleared the film. However, the film has landed in trouble once again as it will not be screened in Bangladesh.

The decision to not release Emergency in Bangladesh is linked to the current tense relations between India and Bangladesh. Political tensions between the two countries have influenced the decision. Emergency is not the first Indian film to face a ban in Bangladesh; earlier, films like Pushpa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were also prohibited in the country.

Starring Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Ashok Chhabra, Mahima Chaudhry, Milind Soman, Vishak Nair, and Satish Kaushik, Emergency is set to release on January 17. The film will clash directly with Azad, starring Aman Devgan and Rasha Thadani, marking Rasha’s debut.

Kangana’s recent films have not performed well at the box office, making it intriguing to see how Emergency fares.
